Downtown Passport - Business Registration

The 3rd Annual Downtown Passport is back!

Thank you to all who have participated in the past, what an amazing event this has been in supporting our brick and mortar downtown businesses! If you have ever been missed I assure you that it has not been intentional, ALL downtown businesses are welcome to participate. If you are on the outskirts of downtown and would like to be closer for this event, we will offer free vendor registration for the “Neighborhood Market” which will be at 3 locations this year. The locations and the hosts of this market are, The Park, The F.A.R.M. and Simply Rooted. Rain is in the forecast, our preliminary plan is to move any outdoor vendors at The Park inside in our downtown businesses. If you would like to be a preliminary indoor host, please let us know. We have also had businesses at the market location and in their store in the past.

The last two years, Healthy Shasta contributed a majority of the funding for the printing of the passport. And the rest was funded by a few small businesses and myself. Unfortunately this year, Healthy Shasta cannot offer the same generosity due to budget cuts. In the past, printing costs neared $400. As a resolution we will be asking for a minimum $10 participation fee. This should cover the cost of the passport. Anything over this amount I can absorb. Any remainder will be allocated to social media marketing.

Let’s get to the good part… The Downtown Passport. Inviting the public to walk and shop our downtown business community.

You all inspire me, I just love watching you all grow. Being a business owner is not easy, but it is what we love, a part of our Purpose. I am looking forward to partnering with ALL of you! The first year we put out the Downtown Passport we had over 300 participants and several stores reported that their sales had tripled compared to their previous year! Here’s to the Downtown Passport bringing a stronger sense of community and record breaking numbers!
